What it's about
Cita.Competition in brief.
Judging, scoring and the awards ceremony in one system – from the first score to the certificate.
You define classes, categories and criteria freely, the jury scores in a structured way, and in the end there's a winner whose result stands up to every question.
Whether beer, coffee, wine, spirits or award show – one system, many industries.
Four steps, with no media breaks. Set up: arrange classes, categories and criteria from a template or by drag-&-drop, choose the scoring depth.
Build the jury: invite jurors or let them apply, assign roles, appoint a head judge.
Score: every juror by the same criteria, at the table or remotely.
Awards ceremony: scores aggregated by your rule, results released, certificates generated.
Scoring
How samples become a winner.
Three: Quick, Pro and Master. Quick is the fast audience vote, Master the double-blind professional panel with a head judge and z-score, Pro sits in between.
For each competition you choose the depth that fits – the system stays the same.
All three modes are included from the free test tier onwards; depth is not a question of price.
The entire juror lifecycle runs in one flow: invite or let people apply, assign roles, appoint a head judge – acceptance and access happen automatically.
No paper sheets, no three Excel versions, no re-typing.
Yes – single- or double-blind, you decide. Samples get anonymous IDs, and there's a cooldown between scores.
That way manipulation has no point of attack, and anonymity no longer runs on a marker pen on the bottle.
Traceable
Every win that stands up.
Then you have the answer, not a gut feeling. Every score is logged precisely by juror, criterion and time.
The audit log records every point traceably – instead of awkward silence, every win can be proven.
Through a gapless audit log: every score is documented precisely by juror, criterion and time.
On top of that, anonymous sample IDs, single- or double-blind scoring, a cooldown between scores and a conflict-of-interest check.
On the Pro Max tier you also get an audit-proof audit export, in case you need to present the documentation externally.
Yes, and compliance is built in, not bolted on. For regulated formats, the 18+ age check, a staged 2-gate self-declaration and the full log all apply automatically.
You don't have to assemble anything yourself. The 18+ check is a legal requirement and is therefore included from the Basic tier onwards – never behind a higher plan.
What it costs
Predictable down to the cent.
Two parts. The subscription in three plans: Basic, Pro and Pro Max – the prices are fixed at launch.
And a platform fee of 2,9 % on every paid submission. Free submissions carry no fee.
In the fee calculator you can work out to the cent what reaches you.
The organiser. The submitter pays a single price – the platform fee is withheld from the participation fee, not added on top.
You can work out what reaches you to the cent in advance in the fee calculator.
No. The Cita platform fee stays the same for every paid submission — whether bank transfer, cash or Stripe.
If you use Stripe, only its payment processing is added; that goes directly to Stripe, not to Cita.
Nothing. Free submissions carry no fee at all – open or regulated competitions stay free this way.
No platform fee applies to a submission without a participation fee.
The bigger picture
One platform, one account – from autumn 2026.
A submission is a candidate's paid competition entry – that's what the Competition platform fee applies to.
An event ticket is admission to an event and runs through Cita.Events with its own fee model.
If you run both, judging and ticketing can be combined – from one account.
No. Cita.Competition is a standalone product with its own subscription – you only book what you use.
It runs on the same platform as Cita.Events: one account, one organisation, the same roles and permissions.
If both subscriptions run in parallel, we credit you 20 % of your smaller plan – automatically offset against the newly added product, for as long as both are active.
From autumn 2026. You can secure early access already now – tell us what you're planning: format, jury, timeframe.
We usually get back to you within 24 hours.
